CoffeeDog® Pumpkin Pizza

*CoffeeDog® Pumpkin Pizza Sauce*

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons, unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 4 ounces “CoffeeDog® Original”
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a heavy sauce pan. Add onion and garlic, simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes or until translucent. Add all of the other ingredients, stir and reduce heat to low. Cover slightly to avoid splatters. Simmer for 30 minutes. Sauce should be thick. Let cool.
  2. Puree the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth. Enough sauce to make 4 rustic pizzas.
  3. Sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Store in a glass jar.

CoffeeDog® Pumpkin Pizza

Ingredients

  • CoffeeDog® Pumpkin Pizza sauce
  • 4 fresh ready-to-bake pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup diced chicken breast
  • 1 thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 thinly sliced tomato
  • 1 fresh chopped avocado
  • 1 fresh chopped sweet apple
  • 1 pound grated mozzarella cheese
  • Grated Parmesan cheese Arugula
  • “CoffeeDog® Original” for drizzling

Directions

  1. Place your pizza stone in the oven and preheat to 475°F. On a lightly flowered surface, press dough into any shape until it is 1/4” thick. I like oval.
  2. Place dough onto a pizza peel dusted with corn meal.
  3. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil. With a ladle, spread 1/2 cup of “CoffeeDog® Pumpkin Pizza Sauce” to 1/2” from edges. Top with your favorite ingredients and end with shredded mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of “CoffeeDog® Original.”
  4. Slide onto the pizza stone and bake for 10 – 12 minutes. Cheese should be browned and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven with the pizza peel and top with arugula. Repeat three more times and change up the toppings for fun. Make a vegetarian pizza!
  6. Slice and enjoy with a CoffeeDog® beverage!
