CoffeeDog® Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 tbsp CoffeeDog® Original
  • 1 tsp CoffeeDog® Extract
  • 1/2 lb milk chocolate
  • 1/2 lb semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Finely chop both chocolates and put them in a microwaveable bowl.
  2. In a coffee mug, put the cream and CoffeeDog® Original and heat it in the microwave until it just comes to a simmer. (Do not let it boil over). Add to the chocolate and stir until chocolate is melted, then add the CoffeeDog® Extract. If you still have some lumps, warm in microwave in 5 second intervals until chocolate is smooth. Let this sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  3. Measure out 1 tsp. portions on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Sift the cocoa powder and powdered sugar together in a small bowl.
  5. When the chocolate is firm, roll it between your hands to a round ball and roll it in the sugar cocoa mixture. These CoffeeDog® Truffles will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks.
